About Us
What is today known as God’s Divine Touch Ministries started from humble beginnings as a private prayer meeting in a small room in Ogudu area of Lagos State, Nigeria in 1997, where our lead pastor, Pastor Tayo Babalola lived. From a one family prayer meeting, the prayer group grew to having several other families join on a regular basis. Members continued to invite others to the prayer meetings because of the mighty things God was doing the ministry. One of the earliest pieces of evidence of God’s divine touch was the first member of the prayer group, in fact the prayer group started because of him. God had spoken to Pastor Tayo, who was ordained in 1998 at WEBIC under the pastoral leadership of Reverend Samson Ayorinde, that he would prove His call over her life through the life of this young brother. At the time the brother couldn’t even fuel his Peugeot 504 on a regular basis, but God spoke through Pastor Tayo into his life the he will have two offices; and so, the prayer meetings began. The first contract he got was worth forty million naira, the next one was over a hundred million naira, that was how his story changed for good and the prayer meeting grew from just a private event into a bigger prayer group with many families and God continued to prove himself faithful.
From the parlour prayer meetings, the ministry grew and by divine instruction, our bi-monthly fellowship began in 2008, and testimonies continue to follow God’s word and instructions. Divine Touch Ministries is devoted to following only and strictly, the direction of God and so by 2013, the Lord instructed that the ministry commence an annual programme tagged HOUR OF DIVINE ENCOUNTER; and in 2014 the programme kicked off and has been held in June every year, except during the pandemic. The ministry also holds a regular online prayer meeting via telegram every Tuesday.
God’s Divine Touch Ministries is mandated to touch lives, especially in underserved communities and so far, our ministry outreach has touched lives in Egbe, Kogi State, Masa and Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, Oyo town, and so on.
